They say rain on your wedding means blessings. If that’s the case, then Saidi and Zahara got an overflow on their wedding day.
When I first got to the venue, everything seemed to be going fine;
The decorator had done an amazing job pimping the multiplex tent with the trending white and peach theme.
Everything was well set up until the heavens let loose.
For over an hour, it rained non stop. Messing up the decor, guests’ gomesis, suits and everything therein. Forcing the decorator to redo the entire set up for tables and seats.
Unfortunately, Saidi’s residence’s landscape is flat. So the effects of the rain were long felt even hours after the rain was gone. The ground completely soaked in the rainwater creating a muddy field.
The only sigh of relief came from a few sun rays that came to our rescue once the rain had stopped.
However, despite the rain effects, their loyal guests seemed unbothered. I actually overheard some guests say they were to enjoy the wedding come rain or shine. But that’s the Ugandan spirit when it comes to parties: Nothing can stop us from enjoying a party.
By 3.30 pm, the seats were already getting filled up making the reception look lively.
As guests came in, they were treated to a succulent barbecue and drinks.
It didn’t take long before the day’s “celebrities” arrived in the comfort of new black ML Benzes.
Dressed in a green suit and red rose bow tie along with the maid of honor in a long-sleeved cream long dress, the best man and maid of honor led the way.
The unique bit about Saidi and Zahara’s wedding is that their entourage was made up of only the best man and matron.
Right behind the best man and matron came Saidi along with his beautiful bride. Zahara wore a flattering white body tight mermaid dress and accessorized it with a necklace and chandelier earrings. Saidi wore a green suit with a red bow tie that matched his best man’s.
As the couple left for dinner and changing, their guests were equally treated to a scrumptious meal.
Zaharah changed into a peach glittering body-hugging dress that highlighted her unbelievably curvaceous body. All through, Zaharah didn’t disappoint those who may have anticipated catching a glimpse of the bride in her beautiful gown and changing dresses. Her gorgeous body looked amazingly flawless in everything she wore. Her charming husband changed into black pants and Grey checked waistcoat.
This colorful function was held at Hajji Mbaziira, Saidi’s father’s residence in Wakiso town.
The ceremony was graced by Buganda’s Prince, Kasim Nakibinge, Mutaasa Kafeero, among other dignitaries and fellow business magnates.
Saidi’s parents who are both master’s graduates challenged the new married to beat their academic status and aim for Ph.Ds.
