I arrived at the venue at around 2 pm. At first sight, I was blown away by the decor: although a common one, couples can’t seem to get enough of 2019’s leading white and peach theme. And it’s understandable why: peach is in the line of living coral colors – One of the trending colors of 2019 and among the top 2020 wedding color trends.
City events definitely did a great job with this wedding, incorporating peach, white and elements of gold into the decor. They went further to mix chrome golden chairs with Chavarria for the sitting set up.
The venue, Nican resort, also added beauty to the function by combining all their 3 gardens into one event, making the function look bigger and grand than it actually was. The main event was at the bigger garden and each smaller garden was turned into a serving area. An element that added beauty to the function.
By 5 pm, guests were strolling in – signaling an end to the long wait. To start the function off, the exciting master of ceremony (MC), NBS and CBS news anchor, Zambali had the day’s Dj play a religious song for each recognized religious sect in the country and had each religious group dance to their song as he mixed in a few humorous comments along the way. This was a smart move to get people to settle in, shake off the unease, and get them excited about the event.
At 6:40 pm – which is late since most couples get to the venue between 2 and 5 pm, Paddy and Rebecca along with their entourage showed up and headed for the reception as they danced to Henry Mayanjas live keyboard hits. The ceremony was meant to have started at 5 pm as the invitation cards.
Although they arrived late, the excited couple looked calm and happy- dancing for over 15 minutes before they took their seats.
Paddy wore a 3 piece black and Grey suit while Rebecca looked dazzling in an off-shoulder Cinderella white gown. She accessorized it with dangling silver rings, a silver head crown and a silver arm wrist band.
As the couple and their guests headed for the buffet area to serve their dinner, their memory lane was played. In the memory lane, the two love birds narrated how they met; Paddy had gone to bank at centenary but he had forgotten to carry a few documents. Other bankers refused to help him execute his intended transaction even after pleading with them until he reached Rebecca’s desk. Because it was an important transaction for his business, and he had run out of time, Rebecca felt his frustration and accepted to help him. It was her kindness that melted Paddy’s heart but they both left it at that. Later, Rebecca was moved to another branch, and as fate would have it, Paddy randomly visited that branch to get one of his daily transactions. Luckily enough, he noticed a familiar face that was the start of their love story. Paddy would consistently continue to pursue Rebecca until he eventually confessed to her his love. The rest of the story led us to thier splendid wedding day.
