Being the festive moth December is famous for, there’s always a wedding in almost every corner of the country. However, some stand out.
Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of witnessing the fabulous wedding of Hilary and the love of his life, Angela.
From the church ceremony, guests were treated to a succulent barbecue and an endless flow of Dalausi juice and a variety of soft and alcoholic drinks as they awaited the couple from their photoshoot. The couple hosted their guests at Executive gardens, Bunga.
At about 3:30 pm, Hilary and Angela arrived in white & black Range Rover sport cars at the venue along with their entourage.
Their entourage looked amazing in purple-themed attire with the gents wearing a 3 piece purple & black suits while the ladies wore purple velvet one-shoulder long dresses.
For contrast, the maid of honor and the best man showed up in a blend of white and purple. The matron wore a long off-shoulder cream dress while the best man wore a 3-piece white suit with a purple lapel and purple waistcoat.
The groom, Hilary, wore a white suit with a purple lapel whereas the bride wore a cream Cinderella dress with crystal embroidery.
Unlike some weddings where the couple take their seats on arrival at the venue, Hillary and Angela didn’t seat after the first prayer but rather headed for the changing room.
Angela later changed into a glittering white mermaid bottom raffled gown that she accessorized with a chandelier necklace while Hilary changed into an all-white tuxedo suit – including a white bow tie.
Hilary and Angela’s wedding was witnessed by the newly appointed minister of lands and Urban planning, Hon. Betty Kamya, Second Deputy Prime minister, kirunda kivejinja, members of Parliament, religious leaders, and other delegates.
Among the various gifts, the couple received was an outstanding gift of a matchbox from Angela’s father. “Angela, go and cook! Ofumbiddwa kufumba, genda ofumbe.” Said her father presenting the matchbox.
