This February, yet another Ugandan pulled off a move that left many in awe of his creativity. Bryan proposed to his fiancee, Linda by buying ad space in one of Uganda’s leading newspapers, The Daily Monitor.
On page 3 of the Sunday Monitor, Bryan’s ad read “Dear Linda Rosset Buluma, Will you marry me? Your’s Bryan.”
A source reveals that this ad space cost Bryan 1.5 million Ugandan Shillings.
As soon as the paper hit the streets, it caught the attention of social media with many people having mixed reactions. Some applauded Bryan for his creativity whereas others demanded to see Linda’s answer. Others also seemed worried that Linda may not have gotten a copy of that day’s paper. However, Bryan foresaw this challenge and counteracted that possibility by sending an enveloped copy of the paper to his fiancee – just to ensure she has no excuse not to answer.
